Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Floor Optimizer website and floor-planning service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Floor Optimizer helps you plan flooring layouts and generate cutting plans and material estimates from measurements you provide. The Service is a planning aid — outputs are estimates based on your inputs.

Accounts

You can try the designer without an account. To save projects and unlock full results you must sign in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure, and for activity under your account.

Free credit, subscriptions and billing

• New users receive 1 free project with full results. Free credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
• Floor Optimizer Pro is a recurring subscription billed in advance ($9 per month, plus any applicable taxes) through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your settings.
• Refunds and cancellation are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• We may change our prices; we will give reasonable notice before a change affects you.

Accuracy of layouts and cut lists

Important: the layouts, cut lists and material quantities produced by the Service are estimates generated from the measurements and settings you enter. They are not a substitute for measuring on site and professional judgement. Real rooms are rarely perfectly square, materials vary, and cutting introduces tolerances. Always verify measurements and double-check quantities before you buy materials or cut anything. You are solely responsible for the materials you purchase and the cuts you make. We are not liable for wasted material, mis-cuts or costs arising from reliance on the Service’s output.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the Service, attempt to break or overload it, or circumvent usage limits, security or billing.
• Do not use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights.
• Do not attempt to access data that is not yours.

Your content

You keep ownership of the projects and data you create. You grant us the limited licence needed to host and process them so we can provide the Service to you.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and content, belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that its output will be accurate for your specific circumstances.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, materials, or costs of re-cutting or re-purchasing. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
