Sketch the floor to your measurements, with doorways, alcoves and obstacles like islands or hearths. L-shapes, angled walls and several rooms at once all work.
Enter your boards, pick a pattern
Set the board length, width and boards per pack from the box you plan to buy, then choose the laying pattern and stagger. The generator plans the layout to the millimetre.

Each cut board appears as a numbered step: which board, what to cut, and where the piece goes on the layout. Identical pieces are grouped into one row with a count, with a detailed per-board view when you want it.
Offcuts reused, waste kept down
The generator reuses offcuts as row starters where the joint rules allow it, which is how fitters keep waste near 5% to 8% on a straight lay instead of a flat 10% guess.

The pack count comes from the real cut plan, not an area formula, and a shopping list totals the packs and cost so you buy once and skip the second trip.
Joint rules built in
Minimum joint offsets, no accidental H-joints or staircase patterns, and no sliver rows against the walls. The plan follows the rules a good fitter works to.
