Plan your flooring on your phone, standing in the room

The best time to plan a floor is with the tape measure in your hand, in the room. For most people, that means a phone.

Floor Optimizer runs in the phone's browser, with nothing to install. On a phone it opens in simple mode, where a rectangular room is two measurements, and the full editor supports drawing by touch for anything more complicated.

In short: Floor Optimizer is a flooring layout planner that plans flooring on a phone or tablet, standing in the room. It lays every board in your real room and gives you the waste, the packs to buy and a board-by-board cut list.

How it works in Floor Optimizer

01

Open it in the browser

It works on iPhone, Android and tablets, with nothing to download from an app store.
02

Enter or draw the room

Simple mode: type the width and length of your room. Full editor: draw corners with your finger, pinch to zoom.
03

Check the plan on site

See the layout, the packs and the cut list in the room where you will lay it.

What it handles

Simple mode for quick rooms

Most rooms are rectangles. Type the length and width and get a plan in a minute.

Touch drawing

Touch where a corner goes, slide to aim and lift to place it. Two fingers pan and zoom, a ruler button lets you type exact sizes, and buttons finish a shape and fit the view.

Same plan everywhere

Start on the phone in the room, finish on a computer at home, when you are signed in.

Readable on site

The cut list and layout are laid out for small screens, for checking a cut at the saw.

What is Floor Optimizer?

Floor Optimizer is an online flooring layout planner for DIYers and flooring fitters. You draw your room or whole floor plan to your measurements, enter the boards you plan to buy and pick a laying pattern, and it places every board in your actual room shape. From that layout it works out the waste, the exact packs to buy and a board-by-board cut list, so the floor is planned before anything is bought or cut. It runs in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone.
